OctobAIREfest II

10/21 - 10/23/2005,

Morro Bay, California

Hello to all who participated in last week's OAF 2. I want to just let everyone know how awesome it was to be there with all the dogs and folks. This was my first experience and won't be the last. I'm impressed with the friendship shown as well as concerns for the dogs. Otis was tired after it was all over and I really didn't see him too much on the drive home as he was zonked out in the backseat of my truck. I met some new friends and will stay in touch. Hope everyone had as much fun as we did. I just hope it will be warmer next time... Thanks again!

Hi Terry:
Very nice note to all and a big thank-you to you for coordinating this tremendous effort and ensuring its success.

Karen & Bob Morgan

Terry,
Just a great group of people they all were. I just wish I would have felt better to get there earlier and stay a little longer. I am already looking forward to next year. Roxy will be bigger although because she was so little and cute everyone made a fuss over her. She was so cute to watch. At first she wasn't sure of all those dogs and people but after a few minuets she acted like she belonged with everyone especially at the food table. LOL Tony is a great grandpapa. I think he showed her off as much as I did. And Jolene is great to. Tell her thank you for making me feel so welcomed. Its hard sometimes when your the new kid on the block going to a crowd of people you don't know. But when there are people like you, Tony, and Jolene it makes it worth it. Thank You. And as I follow the Airedale Klan, I am finding that all Airedale People are great just like the 3 of you. Well, gotta go. Can't wait to see all your PICS of the weekend

Barb, Roxy, and Gang

Have to tell all of you what fun OAF II was yesterday! Terry did a WONDERFUL and AMAZING job planning everything and doing all of the preparations, etc. I hope she is taking a nice long nap today! It was nice to meet everyone, especially those from the list! Rosey and Judee were a hoot! I love them! And little Ruffian and Rio are ADORAABLE! And all of the Dales were so wonderful, I love them all!

I have to say that all of the auction items look so much better in person! And I am so envious of all of the people who can donate their art - what talent! And Sue made the best cranberry crunch desert thingys! I would love the recipe!!!!

I am pleased that Roxy was able to go off leash after being on leash for about 30 minutes and tied to Don. I am so glad she was able to mingle and play and have a good time with all of the other Dales. Jack had a blast too! It makes me happy that this guy is able to have fun like this instead of sitting in someones backyard 24/7. Scout spent the afternoon watching the guys barbeque chicken and tri tip (LOL).

One day when I get back to Idaho, I can post some of my pictures! We have two more weeks here in So CA.

Deanna (ready to go home now)
Roxy (I was a good girl, see mom!)
Jack (I had fun, but I am sick today)
Scout (Yummy - I had chicken and tri tip and acted like a Dale!)

Hi Terry,

CONGRATULATIONS on such a successful event in all respects !

Ellen, Rudy and I had a blast and enjoyed every minute … we are already looking forward to next year … it was so much fun getting together with all of the other Airedale folks as well as the ADT themselves. That little Otis is a charmer !

Terry

We just got back. It was an incredible weekend. I was overwhelmed by how great all the dogs and People were. Teddy went back Saturday night and fell asleep he was taken out at 11 and then crashed again until 8 Sunday morning came back in from potty and instantly fell asleep on the bed until we left at 10. Stopped by the Park but everyone was gone. Teddy will have to wait until next year to see all his new buddies. I hop you will get all of us updated on Otis he has such a Fan Club post his picture on your site so we can see him as he grows up.

Thanks for such a wonderful event I know hoe hard you worked to get this all together.

Congratulations on the huge success of the auction.

Pam,Gary and Teddy Bilovesky

Ileene, Aragorn and I just got home from a fantastic weekend at the Airefest and some wine tasting on the way home. Thanks for all the effort that went into this. I can't express how much we appreciate everything you did. We'll be back next year.

Rick & Ileene Parker

We had the best time at OAFII. Rio was able to "run with the big dogs" and hold her own. Had a fun time meeting all the people from the list – Rick, Susan, Virgil, Rosey, Deanna, too many to remember. Rio had so much fun playing with her littermate Ruffian. Thanks to Terry we all had a wonderful time.

Judee Knight &
Rio (Where is that Ruffian? I can play with him all day!!!)

To all of you who missed out on OAF...it was fabulous!

Terry deserves a gold star...or perhaps a beautiful shooting star..or a Haley's Comet type thing....for all of her hard work! AAARRRROOOO....YIPPEE!!!....I think everyone had a blast!

Some quick observations..... A shy little Rio came to the park Saturday morning.....a much more confident and and assertive girl left the park Saturday evening! GO girl! As
almost everyone witnessed the rather rambunctious Ruffian playing unrelenting games of bitey face and roll the Rio over and over and suddenly Rio's Airedellian personnality emerged...to all the chanting of "go Rio...go Rio....." Ruffian found himself on the
bottom of the heap....the cheering and laughter...it was great fun! Roxy and Jack and the undaunted Scout...I personnally wanted to steal him and bring him home with us!
Please...never tell him he is NOT an Airedale....Poor Deanna...all her worries..and Jack and Roxy were wonderfull...I didn't see or hear any nasteys from them at the doggy park....they are wonderful furkids!

We met so many wonderful hoomans and furkids! The Parkers...thank you for all of your kind words.....Sheila Wagner was a big help with Ruffian and the journey...

It was just wonderful to meet so many of the people we share the love of our Airedales with in person! The Parkers, Don and Deanna, Mike and Judee Knight, the Bilovesky's, Chris and Alexander..darn...I can picture so many of you but names are evading me...I am so exhausted...I wish the weekend could have lasted longer....I can hardly wait for next year! Ruffian is wondering what happened to all of his playmates!

Rosey Young

Terry: Now that the dust has settled and you hopefully have had a chance to breathe...... I want a chance to thank you for the extravaganza you put on. You did an amazing job!!! And thank you for including us. I so enjoyed seeing all those Airedales!!! My two slept until the next day. Ballou had to be lifted up into their car he was so exhausted!!!!

Jodyne Forsmann

Terry – what can I say? Steve, Billy, and I had just the grandest time, thanks mainly to your marvelous organizational skills, devotion, dedication, and love. I can’t tell you which part of our trip we enjoyed most. Certainly watching Billy interact with all his relatives and non-relatives was a high point, seeing Billy jump the waves at the beach was awesome, and the barbecue was magnifico – whoever prepared that wonderful food should get a culinary medal from some gourmet organization. The auction items were grand, and I shall treasure each item that I won – but most especially the Summer Portrait and the Last Good Bye. Steve and I were overwhelmed by your hospitality when we visited your home, especially given the tremendous work load you had just been carrying and will still be cleaning up after. All your “children” – male, female, and babies – are gorgeous. MaXX, Paddy, Special, Twinkie – each more handsome and winsome than the next.

And I agree, Otis should win the prize as the most sought-after puppy of the weekend. EVERYONE wanted to hold and hug that bundle of love.

Mary Jane Gray & Steve Lendt
